The series P42-T/A sensors, all of which have an analogue 0-10V / 4-20mA output and two switching outputs, are programmed via an RS232 or RS485 interface. Characteristic curve, dead zone, set points, sensitivity, electronic filters, response time, and sensor addresses are optimally adapted to the measuring task. For communication with the computer, no special adapter is required, a direct access to the interface on the sensor is possible.

With the P53 STEEL HEAD series, PIL has expanded its product portfolio to include the first ultrasonic sensor in a completely encapsulated stainless steel housing. Due to the special housing construction made of stainless steel (1.4404), the STEEL HEAD is very well suited for use in harsh environments such as dust, humidity and steam.
The high degree of protection IP68 / IP69K allows a thorough cleaning of the sensor. With ranges of up to 2500 mm and a high temperature range of up to +80° C, the sensor is suitable for a wide range of applications. The EHEDG-certified versions with gap-free housing are predestined for use in the packaging and food industries. The EHEDG sensors and the corresponding mounting are designed with regard to materials, geometry and surface qualities in such a way that they are ideally suited for use in harsh environments and for the highest hygiene requirements in the food industry. ECOLAB certification ensures that the sensor can be cleaned with the cleaning and disinfection agents P3-topactive OKTO, P3-topactive 200, P3-topax 52, P3-topax 66 and P3-topax 990.
